Verse Athletics (verseathletics.ca) complies with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) in collecting, using, and protecting client data for athletic training services. This policy outlines our practices for privacy, transparency, and security.

Information Collected
We gather personal details like name, email, phone, address, payment info, age, emergency contacts, and health/medical history (for safety assessments) during bookings, registrations, or inquiries. When you visit our website, we also collect information automatically through cookies and similar technologies. This includes the pages you view, the actions you take (such as starting or completing a booking), your device and browser type, and your IP address. No sensitive data (e.g., SIN) is required unless legally mandated.

Use of Information
Data supports service delivery: booking sessions/camps, sending confirmations/reminders, processing payments, communicating updates, and improving programs. We also use website and booking information to measure how well our advertising works and to show relevant Verse Athletics ads on Facebook and Instagram, as described below.

Cookies, Pixels and Advertising
Our website uses the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, tools provided by Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook and Instagram). These tools tell Meta when someone visits our site or completes actions such as starting a booking or registering for a program. We use this to:

  • measure the results of our ads;

  • show ads to people who have visited our site or interacted with our social media;

  • avoid showing ads to people who have already registered.

When you submit a form or booking, contact details such as your name, email address and phone number may be sent to Meta in a hashed (encrypted) format so Meta can match the activity to a Meta account. We may also upload a hashed list of client contact details to Meta to create advertising audiences. Meta uses this information under its own Privacy Policy (facebook.com/privacy/policy). We never share health or medical information, payment details or emergency contact information with Meta or any advertising platform.

By using our website, you consent to the use of cookies and these advertising tools as described in this policy.

Disclosure and Sharing
Information stays confidential and is not sold or rented. It is shared only with service providers (e.g., payment processors, coaches, website and advertising platforms such as Wix and Meta) under strict agreements, for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

Your Choices

  • Cookies: You can block or delete cookies, including advertising cookies, through your browser settings. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of our website work.

  • Ad preferences: You can control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta Ad Preferences settings.

  • Opt out: To ask us to exclude your contact information from advertising audiences, email verseathletic@gmail.com.

Youth Participants
Many of our athletes are under 18. We collect information about minors only as needed to deliver our programs, and we ask a parent or guardian to complete registration for athletes under the age of majority. We do not knowingly target advertising to individuals under 18 using personal information.

Security and Access
Data is stored securely with encryption, access controls, and regular audits. Clients can request access, correction, or deletion via verseathletic@gmail.com; responses within 14 days. Retention matches service needs or legal requirements.
